This week I would like to start by saying a huge thank you to all of the parents in grade 5 that have volunteered at Nose Creek, helped out in the classroom, and supported their child's learning all throughout the school year. In total, there are over 30, 000 volunteer hours graciously spent helping out at Nose Creek and we really appreciate it.
Monday, June 4th- Volunteer Appreciation
Tuesday, June 5th- Nose Creek Triathalon
Thursday, June 7th- Fine Arts Night, both 5C and 5F will be performing
This week in class:
5C: Will continue to discover and learn about volume and capacity in class. They will have a conversation class in French on Monday where they practice scenarios talking to a tourist about their city, or asking questions as a tourist. They will continue to work on their writing as well.
5F: Students have finished their Maison de Rêve projects and are now focusing on their production of Les 3 Petits Cochons (The Three Little Pigs). As a class, we studied a few different versions of Les 3 Petits Cochons in French, we practiced sentences that the pigs and wolf say, and then we created a basic script. Each group is allowed to add details throughout their script as they see fit, and are expected to write their own ending to the story. They will then practice, practice, practice and, finally, perform for the class.
